@ Simon/Hazard Iconography

Hey Simon - as suggested in my earlier comment; there's something about your increasingly bold, iconographic approach to your flu virus design that recalls hazard signs and their associations...

  1. Cheers Phil, there are couple that I haven't seen before such as the chemical weapon one (image 2, 2nd row from top, far right and the one below that)optical radiation. Most of these are far to well recognised to directly draw from but are a useful; point of reference.

However I am still undecided whether I will be going in a pure hard-edged graphic style or something rather more grungier and real. The whole aspect of viruses not actually meeting the criteria of living organisms brings to mind little semi biological machines (nanobots) and this contrast between a living cell and the non-living virus is something that I would be seeking to emphasis. I am currently writing act 2 of the plot once I have that resolved I will post up some colour swatches and maybe even a swatch timeline.
